Seconds Out wakes you up before the fight you picked. Here's how to make sure it works.
Test your alarm first
Open the app → Settings → Test my alarm. Lock your phone and switch it to silent. It should ring about 10 seconds later. Do this before fight night.
iPhone
- iOS 26 or later: alarms ring like the Clock app, even on silent or in Focus. Allow alarms when asked (Settings → Apps → Seconds Out → Alarms).
- Older iOS: we send a loud, repeating notification instead. It can't ring through the silent switch, so keep silent mode off on fight night.
Android
- Allow notifications when asked.
- Turn on Alarms & reminders for Seconds Out (the app opens the right screen). Without it Android won't let us set an alarm.
- Allow full-screen notifications to get the big alarm screen on your lock screen. The alarm rings either way.
- Don't "force stop" the app from Android's settings: that blocks alarms and updates until you open it again. Swiping it away is fine.
Why did it ring early?
Nobody knows exactly when a fight will start: it starts when the one before ends. Until the fight before yours finishes, we plan for quick finishes, so your alarm may ring a little early. We'd rather wake you early than late. The app updates the time as the card runs.
